Is NaklaPay a payment gateway or a bank?+
Neither. NaklaPay is payment automation software. Money moves directly between your customer and your own bKash, Nagad, Rocket or bank account. We never hold or settle funds, so there is no licence-dependent custody layer and no withdrawal step.
How does automatic verification actually work?+
A customer pays your MFS account and submits the transaction ID at checkout. At the same time, the NaklaPay Android app (or your own bridge) forwards the confirmation SMS to your workspace. We parse the message, match the transaction ID and amount to the order, optionally check the balance, and mark the payment completed — usually in under five seconds.
Can I use my personal bKash account?+
Yes. NaklaPay supports Personal, Agent and Merchant accounts across the major MFS providers. You connect the SIM that receives the transaction SMS, so there is no merchant API approval, trade licence or onboarding fee required.
Can I self-host it?+
Yes. The self-hosted licence runs the entire platform on your own VPS, cPanel or Docker host. You own the database and customer data. The hosted plan gives you the same product with updates, backups and support handled for you.
