NaklaPay vs the big gateways, without the sales fog.

SSLCOMMERZ, aamarPay and PortPos are aggregators: they accept cards and wallets, take an MDR from every successful payment, and settle to your bank. NaklaPay automates MFS payments into your own wallet for a flat subscription. Here is what each one costs — and when their product is the right call instead of ours.

Published list prices reviewed 31 October 2026. Negotiated rates, VAT and provider cash-out fees are separate. We are not affiliated with any gateway named on this page.

NaklaPay

Subscription. Money straight to your wallet.

Setup or MDR. Cards and wallets, settled to bank.

These are the list prices on each provider's public site, before negotiation. NaklaPay's price is a subscription; theirs is mostly a cut of every sale.

Rates shown are for wallet/standard channels unless stated. Card, AMEX and international rates can be higher. Some providers negotiate volume pricing. Direct bKash and Nagad merchant gateways are not listed because their rates are agreed during onboarding — expect an MDR and merchant documentation there too. Confirm current terms directly with each provider before you sign.

Same volume, same wallet-first customers, one year. The aggregator column is what their MDR and setup would cost; the NaklaPay column is the plan price.

Year 1 = one-time setup + MDR × ৳12,00,000 + fixed per-transaction charges. Assumes ৳1,00,000 per month, a ৳1,000 average ticket and 1,200 transactions a year. VAT is excluded, and aamarPay's quoted setup is not included in its total.

NaklaPay adds no per-transaction fee, but your MFS provider charges its own cash-out fee when you move wallet money to a bank. Aggregator MDR includes settlement, so the two totals are not perfectly like-for-like. Cards usually cost more than the MFS rates shown.

The detail

What you get for the fee.

An aggregator sells reach: cards, EMI and settlement. NaklaPay sells automation on wallet payments you already receive. Neither replaces the other for every business.

The honest part

When the bigger gateway is the better choice.

We built NaklaPay for wallet-first businesses. If your customers need cards or EMI, an aggregator is doing a job we do not do.

Choose an aggregator if

  • You must accept Visa, Mastercard, international cards or EMI.
  • You want the provider to settle funds to your bank account automatically.
  • You do not want to keep an Android phone online to receive MFS SMS.

Choose NaklaPay if

  • Most of your customers pay by bKash, Nagad or Rocket already.
  • You want a flat subscription instead of a cut of every sale.
  • You want the money in your own wallet instantly, without settlement or a trade licence.

Use both if

  • You need cards for some buyers and wallet automation for the rest.
  • You want one order system to receive both providers' webhooks.
  • You are testing whether MDR is worth paying for card convenience.

Still catching up

What NaklaPay does not do.

These are real limitations today, not roadmap promises. If any of them is a hard requirement, an aggregator is the safer choice right now.

No card acquiring

If a customer only has a Visa or Mastercard, NaklaPay cannot take that payment. Use your aggregator for cards; we are local-first by design.

No international cards or EMI

Cross-border cards and instalment plans are not in our checkout. Aggregators and banks handle those today.

No automatic bank settlement

Money stays in your MFS wallet. Moving it to a bank uses your provider's cash-out flow and their charges, not ours.

A phone has to stay online

Verification depends on the Android forwarder receiving your MFS SMS. An aggregator does not need a device on your side.

Test it yourself

A table is easy to write. A payment is harder to fake.

Open the demo checkout, submit the sample TrxID, and watch verification happen without a refresh. Then create a workspace and run your own first wallet payment.
