Android forwarder

Turn a spare phone into your SMS bridge.

The NaklaPay Forwarder watches the SIM that receives bKash, Nagad, Rocket and bank confirmations, then forwards only payment messages to your workspace. Verification happens seconds after the money lands — without APIs, merchant accounts or a settlement delay.

Privacy by default

Only payment SMS leaves the phone.

The forwarder is a filter, not a mailbox. It runs locally, keeps a 30-line activity log on the device and uploads nothing else.

Filtered on the phone

A message is queued only when it carries both a TrxID and an amount, or matches a keyword you add. Notifications are read for payment text only; everything else stays in your inbox.

One token per device

Each phone gets its own tfdev_ token. Remove a lost phone from the dashboard and it stops ingesting instantly.

Retries for hours

No signal in the shop? The app retries failed uploads with backoff and resumes after a reboot without losing messages.

Install

Live in about five minutes.

You need a workspace, a device token and the phone that receives the confirmations. Pairing is two fields; the rest is Android asking for permissions.

Already on NaklaPay? Create the device under Dashboard → Devices and copy its token.

  1. 1

    Download the APK

Install it directly on the Android phone that holds the bKash or Nagad SIM. No Play Store account needed.

  2. 2

    Allow the install

When Android asks, allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps, then open the file and tap Install.

  3. 3

    Paste your token

Create a device in the dashboard, copy its tfdev_ token and your server URL into the app, then save.

  4. 4

    Enable forwarding

Grant SMS access, allow notification access and turn on forwarding. Both the SMS and a copy of the payment notification are captured, so a filtered inbox never hides a confirmation.

Under the hood

Built for phones in a shop, not a rack.

No root, no Play Store policy games. Two capture paths, a light foreground watchdog and the OS scheduler carry messages through blackouts, reboots and aggressive battery savers.

15-minute heartbeat

The dashboard knows a phone is alive before the first sale of the day.

Direct POST

Messages go to /api/device/ingest with the token in X-Device-Token.

SMS + notifications

A broadcast listener reads the raw SMS; a notification listener catches messages filtered out of the inbox, with duplicate guard.

Dual SIM aware

Every message carries its SIM slot, so a shop phone serving two numbers stays traceable.

Pairing fields

Server URL

https://pay.yourbrand.com

The domain where NaklaPay runs. Include http:// or https://, without a trailing slash.

Device token

tfdev_9f2k7d1qax…

Shown when you create the device, and any time after that on the Devices page.

Testing locally? On the Android emulator use http://10.0.2.2:3002 to reach the server on your laptop.

Questions

Before you install.

Does it read personal SMS?

No. The filter runs on the device and only bank or MFS confirmations — messages with a transaction ID and an amount — are sent. Nothing else is uploaded, stored or logged.

Do I need the Play Store?

No. The app ships as a signed APK you sideload. That is also why the SMS permission works without Play Store policy review.

Can I use more than one phone?

Yes. A brand can have as many devices as it needs, each with its own token. Every SMS record shows which phone forwarded it.

What about a phone with a dead battery?

The app is designed to survive consumer phones: it restarts after a reboot, resumes the keep-alive watchdog after the app is swiped away, retries queued messages, and the dashboard flags a device as offline after twelve minutes without a heartbeat.

Next step

Pair your first phone today.

Download the forwarder, create a device token and watch the next bKash confirmation settle an order on its own.
